Events and Fundraisers
We have had a great time this fall distributing dictionaries and copies of the
Constitution to over 5,000 elementary students here in Ellis County. It is such a delight to see the gratitude and excitement in the children as we present them with these gifts made possible by ECRW. To continue these programs, we need everyone’s help in our upcoming fundraising activities.
Cookbooks
We will continue to collect recipes until December 15, and need recipes submitted from all of our members. Please submit recipes on the form found here so we can submit directly to the publisher: http://www.morriscookbooks.com/dc/tns10/RecipeCollection.pdf.
We are also asking our elected officials to submit recipes to include in the book. If you would like to reach out to any elected officials, please contact Susan Baker at susanthomasbaker@gmail.com or 972-670-3832 so she can keep track of who is contacting whom.
We need a wide variety of recipes for the following categories: Appetizers & Beverages, Soups & Salads, Vegetables & Side Dishes, Main Dishes, Breads & Rolls, Desserts, Cookies & Candies, and This & That. Our goal is to have recipes from as many different people as possible, so if you know of any Republicans that are great cooks, please invite them to participate as well. We would like to submit at least 500 recipes to the publisher and create a cookbook that will be used for years to come.
Spring Style Show
We are in the planning stages for a Style Show in Spring 2012. For those of you who have attended our shows in the fall, you know what fun they can be! If you know of an elected official who might enjoy modeling, please let us know. This is always a great event and it is a fun way to raise money for our community outreach programs.
